Recently I had the pleasure of being featured in The Independent with an article about the TRX Suspension Trainer. The idea was to provide the fitness writer of the paper a TRX and provide a workout for him to follow and he writes about his experience and overall view of the straps.
The results were very positive!

TRX Foundational Movements Workout
As the writer was using the TRX for the first time by himself without any coaching, I provided my foundational movements workout, which is easy to do but still challenging as a full body workout and stated to do 30 seconds per exercise. The workout is as follows:
PULL – TRX Low Row
SQUAT – TRX Front Squat
PUSH – TRX Chest Press
LUNGE – TRX Lunge
ROTATE – TRX Power Pull
HINGE – TRX Hip Press
PLANK – TRX Pike
The main question was about getting out of the gym and into a park and would you swap one for the other. All in all it was a huge success and the writer loved the TRX but with only doing 1 workout it is too difficult to state whether you would do one over the other.
As a TRX coach we know that you can use the suspension trainer alongside mixed modalities so we never state that you should only use this. Because of that it was a successful feature and he got a great workout in.
